1st Nine Weeks Ending

We are back from break and students are working hard to finish up writing projects before the end of the 1st nine weeks. Projects due include: Letter about SSR book, Journal-If I was the Teacher, Describe the Character worksheet, and any assignments not completed due to absences.

Students, as always, can check their grades on Engrade to see how they stand.

Opportunities for extra credit are winding down, but here is a chance:

What is the shortest sentence possible?

An answer showing effort is worth 1 point. The correct answer is worth 3 points.

Go for it!

Congrats to Alina, Cody, and Trevor for correct answers. You earned three points of extra credit.

Shelby and Laney earned one point for their effort (and thanks for the kind comment).

I think the correct answer is "Go", "Be", or any two letter word. This is when You is implied but not spoken.

Thank you for allowing me to visit with your class on Friday! The next time I will bring 3 pizzas. Sorry about that, I under estimated the appetites of a classroom full of sixth graders!

How could life get any better--reading aloud a great book, while students get to enjoy a pizza party.

The pizza worked out fine, thanks to a great kid named Baylie who was willing to share.

Thanks for the pizza!
