Conkle's Hollow Field Trip

The sixth grade visited Conkle's Hollow Nature Preserve in the Hocking Hills as part of a Geology field trip. Students enjoyed the day and the beautiful rock formations.

Noted Naturalist, Paul Knoop explained many facts about the area, how it came to be, and facts about many plants and animals.

I do not really know what you want me to write about. I am going to write about what IO thought about the trip. It was a lot of fun. I liked the water fall. Me and my friend Desire' walked together most of the time. When she heard the water she was gone. She run all the way there. Some kids ran back under the water fall. I did not I sat on a rock that was out over the water. It was fun I wanted to take my shoes off and put my feet in the water. We were not allowed so I did not. I think that I will go back there and go back under the water fall.It was a lot of fun.

I thought the field trip was really exciting. I learned so much and it was fun getting out of class. I hope next year we go on more fun field trips.

I think the field trip was great. The walk through Conkle's hollow was great because I caught a frog. The frog was a female northern frog and we saw chipmunks and they can run fast. We also saw the big bumps in the trees that some people say that the hoop snake made. But any ways we had fun.
